2019 has been a busy year with so many great weddings. I had been looking forward to this wedding at Casa Marina Hotel & Restaurant for a while.
Jordan and her bridesmaids got ready in the bridal suite while Brett and his groomsmen got ready right down the hall. 6 rooms down to be exact. I arrived about 3:00 pm when they were due to start getting ready. I stayed with the guys for about two hours getting candid photos and enjoyed the hospitality of the wonderful parents of the groom.
At around 5:30 I headed off to the dinning room and courtyard to start getting detail photos and wait for the guests to arrive. This was my second wedding at Casa Marina Hotel & Restaurant this year already. It rocks as a venue and I am excited to have a few more weddings there this year. Jordan and Brett chose to have a first look before the ceremony. I love that! I never tell a couple to do a first look, or not to. I will share the advantages and disadvantages either way, but I feel very strongly that it is not my day and my job is to adopt to what the couple wants at their wedding. First looks are great before the ceremony and give us more time for photos, but there is no way to recreate the emotion on a grooms face as he sees his bride for the first time and she is walking down the aisle.
The ceremony was in the beautiful white courtyard and the weather was perfect, and not too humid for the Florida Summer. The beach dunes always provide a great backdrop for outdoor ceremonies at Casa Marina Hotel & Restaurant. Dinner and cake cutting was in the dinning room while the courtyard was prepared for the reception. The courtyard was lite with colorful up lighting and it was a great party. Here are some of my favorite photos from Jordan and Brett’s wedding at Casa Marina Hotel & Restaurant.
